(MP Speaker for July 2024)

Who am I?

I grew up in a household where my parents were workers, not investors (and not in the real estate business). My dad worked a federal government job for 45 to 50 hours a week for 30+ years. I watched him work his life away and he never got financially rich (rich in other ways). My parents preached that to make good money, I needed to get college degrees, get good grades, get a good job, and then work that job for 30+ years. Investing was not exemplified in my home and was often seen as too much risk.

I followed my parents’ advice and got college degrees, graduated law school, and a high-paying government job, but I was miserable. I looked around and saw all my colleagues who had been working the same jobs for 20+ years only making 10-20% more than I was making. I felt someone had tricked me into a life I didn’t want. Real estate turned my life around.

What have I done in real estate since 2013?
In the past 11 years, Soddee has bought, owned, and sold several millions of dollars of Oklahoma & Texas residential and commercial real estate. He has managed and performed several dozen real estate transactions. Soddee specializes in buying residential and commercial real estate in need of repair or repositioning and restoring it to improve the look and feel of the community. He is a graduate of the Charles Barnes Real Estate School and is a licensed real estate agent and managing real estate broker. Soddee holds bachelor’s degrees in political science and economics from Oklahoma State University and earned a law degree from Southern University Law Center all with high honors.

Over the years, Soddee has acquired multiple residential (including multifamily) & commercial properties. He has experience with negotiating NNN leases, short-term vacation rentals, long-distance rentals, quick flips, and so much more. He has created, bought, and sold residential and commercial mortgage notes and has completed the process of rezoning real estate throughout the OKC metro. Soddee strongly believes in the BRRRR method (buy, rehab, rent, refinance, repeat) and has seen its fruits with currently owning several million dollars in residential and commercial real estate in Oklahoma and Texas. Because of his strong determination to change the narrative about what it takes for financial freedom, he created a real estate investor course and coaching program to help others see a different way.
